If you would like to use our audio in your online content (e.g. YouTube) and you are not monetizing your content:
If you are not monetizing your content, or you otherwise don't mind if your content gets monetized on our behalf through systems like YouTube's Content ID, then you can simply purchase and download our high quality files directly from our distribution partners, and include them in your video.
Please:
- Do not rip our audio from our YouTube videos or any streaming services; you will end up with worse quality files this way, and we always want you to sound your best.
- Do not attempt to reupload or otherwise redistribute our content. It will get flagged, and we will take it down. Rewards may be granted to anyone who reports this kind of abuse to us if the automated systems have failed to catch it.
- Credit us in your video descriptions. At a minimum, we ask that you include a link to this website (www.obsidiansnow.ca), but otherwise the syntax is up to you.
If you are monetizing your content or you don't want your videos to get monetized on our behalf:
We are happy to offer purchases of non-exclusive licenses to use our audio in your monetized content. Please send us an email at ask@obsidiansnow.ca with a description of how you would like to use our audio.
If you are running paid games and want to use our audio:
If you made less than CAD$1,000 from your paid games in the last 12 months, any standard download license from our distribution partners will cover your use case. As soon as you exceed that, you'll need to upgrade your license to keep using our audio. Send us an email at ask@obsidiansnow.ca and we'll set you up.
