We offer three license tiers, depending on how you intend to use our audio. By default, any tracks you purchase from us come with our standard license. See the license types below.
Audio tracks you purchase from us or obtain through supporter perks come with the following Standard License by default:
Content creators must contact us so that we can add them to our copyright allow list. Please include a copy of your receipt, your channel ID, and a brief description of how the audio will be used. We cannot do this automatically; this is a limitation of our distribution partners. We are more than happy to reverse any accidental copyright claims if you forgot to do this - just let us know.

For commercial products/services in excess of CAD$1,200 annually, the following Extended License is available as an upgrade through our Mirlo page, on a per-album basis:
Please note that this is an upgrade to an album's Standard License, which must be obtained first. A Standard License + download access is obtained by purchasing the album/track, or through supporter perks.

You need a Bespoke License if you want to commission us for custom work or use our audio for commercial products/services that earn more than CAD$12,000 annually, combined.
These licenses are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. You must contact us to discuss this type of licensing.
You may not use our audio for training AI models of any kind without our explicit written permission, which must be signed, dated, and legally notarised by us with an accompanying written, individualised licensing agreement.
Including our audio in your AI training data without our explicit permission and cooperation is a violation of our copyright, and will result in legal action.
Our audio is watermarked to detect such violations. As a defensive measure, our audio may also contain invisible, inaudible adversarial noise that will actively degrade the quality of your AI model. All use of our audio for any purpose is at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any damages this may cause.
If you use our audio in your AI application anyway, you are solely responsible for any and all costs and damages incurred, including (but not limited to) legal fees and other costs associated with identifying that you used our audio and litigating against you or any other associated party.
If you believe you have an ethical, responsible use case for AI that benefits the public and treats creators fairly, and you would like to include our audio for this: you are welcome to contact us with details.

Except where explicitly stated above, you agree that any and all legal claims, causes of action or dispute arising out of or relating to our content, products, or services will be brought exclusively before the courts of the province of Alberta, Canada.
If you have taken the required steps to get your channel on our allow list for the tracks you used, this should not happen to you. If you forgot to do this or didn't know you needed to, that's ok! That's something we can fix.

Once your channel has been added to our allow list, any new content you post should no longer trigger copyright claims for the audio you purchased.
We know these extra steps are inconvenient, and appreciate your understanding. If we could make it faster and easier, we would!
We monitor usage of our audio, and take appropriate action against bad-faith copyright violations regardless of allow list status.

This Agreement (āAgreementā) is entered into between the purchaser (āLicenseeā) and the composer/publisher (āLicensorā) regarding the audio tracks provided (āLicensed Audioā). By downloading, purchasing, or using the Licensed Audio, the Licensee agrees to the terms contained herein.
The Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Licensed Audio in the following ways:
- In synchronisation with visual media, including films, videos, YouTube content, advertisements (with written permission), trailers, social media, websites, video games, and mobile applications.
- As background ambience or theme music in podcasts, presentations, live events (with written permission), streaming content, or multimedia productions.
- In commercial, client, corporate, educational, personal, or monetised projects, unless otherwise restricted by this Agreement.
The Licensee may not:
- Claim ownership, authorship, or exclusive rights to the Licensed Audio.
- Resell, redistribute, sub-license, or make the Licensed Audio available as a standalone audio file.
- Include the Licensed Audio in any audio library, sample pack, SFX collection, or similar product.
- Use the Licensed Audio for creation of AI-generated audio, machine-learning training datasets, or automated audio systems.
- Use the Licensed Audio in any project that contains AI-generated content in the final product.
- Create derivative audio works intended for commercial release (e.g., releasing the audio as your own track on streaming platforms).
Some Licensed Audio may be registered in YouTube Content ID or similar fingerprinting systems. The Licensee may request a whitelisting/clearance if necessary to remove claims related to lawful use under this Agreement.
This Agreement permits commercial usage under several license tiers, based on a Licensee's total combined gross revenue associated with all projects using the Licensed Audio ("Associated Revenue"):
- The "Standard License" permits commercial usage not exceeding CAD$1,200 per year in Associated Revenue. The Standard License is included with the purchase of the Licensed Audio by default.
- The "Extended License" permits commercial usage not exceeding CAD$12,000 per year in Associated Revenue. The Extended License must be purchased separately and in addition to the Standard License.
- For commercial usage exceeding CAD$12,000 per year in Associated Revenue, the Licensee must request and sign a "Bespoke License" agreement with the Licensor, and may be subject to additional fees and royalties.
This Agreement permits broadcast usage on television, radio, and streaming platforms. For national/international broadcasts with an expected audience exceeding 1 million viewers, the Licensor may request an upgraded broadcast license.
Worldwide. No geographic restrictions.
Perpetual. The Licensee may use the Licensed Audio for the lifetime of their project(s).
This is a non-exclusive license. The Licensor may license the Licensed Audio to other clients.
The Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Licensor from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from improper or unauthorised use of the Licensed Audio.
The Licensed Audio is provided āas-isā without warranties of any kind. The Licensor shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from use of the Licensed Audio.
This license is granted for a one-time fee. No additional royalties or recurring payments are required for uses permitted under this Agreement, except where overridden by a Bespoke License.
The Licensor retains full copyright and ownership of the Licensed Audio. This Agreement grants usage rights but does not transfer intellectual property ownership.

By using the Licensed Audio, you acknowledge that we may update this agreement at any time without obligation to notify.
